The Stock Market and Relationships
Three quotes in comparing the stock market and romantic relationships
Quote 1:
"Finding the right one is like finding a growth stocks which gives you a stable long term return. On the other hand do not find someone who gives you excitement, thrill initially like that of a rubbish penny stock but end up having no value and hurting you in the process." - Bing Han 2015
Quote 2: "Much like the stock market, when a relationship is hurting you, walk away like how you cut your losses when you are wrong. On the other hand when a relationship is the right one, ride the trend and eventually privatize (marry) the person and take it out of the market" -Bing Han 2015
Quote 3: "Relationships are like the stock market, it is volatile, there will no doubt be ups and downs but most importantly you have to get the trend right and ride the trend"- Bing Han 2015
My personal experience
All these quotes are inspired by my personal experiences in both the stock market and relationships. I'm glad I have found the right one in life after past relationships.
Just some advice:
- For those in a happy relationship like me, now I wish you a happy and "smooth uptrending" relationship.
- For those who are single don't fret, you will find the right person and the one "growth stock/ multibaggers" that will light up your life.
- For those who are going through a hard time in a relationship, remember quote number 3, it could just be a "consolidation" and "sideway" phase of your relationship
- For those who are having a toxic relationship, remember quote number 2,is it causing you too much "losses/hurt"? Is it the right time to let go and cut loss? Remember cutting loss is important both in trading and relationship. When the losses accumulate, it will cause you immense psychological stress. Cutting loss and move on to find your right one would be a better choice.
Just a short leisure non-trading related writeup and some quotes that I have created in 2015 drawing comparisons between the stock market and relationships through personal experience haha.
Cheers and have a good weekend!
